Amazonia, Strathclyde
Scotland's largest indoor rainforest, offering fun and educational experiences. Visitors are given the opportunity to take part in animal handling sessions.

Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh
Interactive Exhibits on all Aspects of the Planet, Workshops including: dinosaur detectives, the arctic, a journey into the rainforest, climate change and oceans.

Glasgow Science Centre and IMAX Cinema
Contains three floors packed with interactive exhibits as well as live science shows, planetarium shows, workshops and IMAX films.

National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh
Science gallery offering rich resources for learning and teaching, with a full programme of events for schools.

Royal Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh
Varied, curriculum based sessions with a holistic approach to teaching science. Focus on participatory, experiential learning about the natural world, biodiversity and sustainability. Programmes include: teddy bears picnic, senses, plants we eat and rainforest adventure.

The Falkirk Wheel
Educational programmes, including a basin trail. An interactive exhibition and viewing gallery.

The Royal Observatory, Edinburgh
Home of the second biggest telescope in Scotland. Tours catered towards schools, including: telescope dome, meteorite handling, moon phases and eclipses and stars and galaxies.

Butterfly and Insect World
Tropical Rainforest. Experience a tropical rainstorm, fish feeding, and animal handling and much more.

Deep Sea World
Aquarium. Includes classroom sessions tailored to specific year groups. Topic include: life in the sea, sharks and tropical rainforest.

Edinburgh Zoo
Conservation of threatened species and habitats. A number of programmes for schools can be included in your visit, such as: cycle of life, bone detectives, endangered animals and rainforest explorers.

North Berwick Seabird Centre
Wildlife Centre. Includes an education centre, workshops and education officer for school visits.

Electric Lego City Workshops
The workshops encourage the development of amongst other things, Teamwork, Logical Thinking, Creativity and Practical Design.

Generation Science
Shows and workshops tailored towards specific age groups and curriculum requirements. Topics covered in the shows and workshops include: planet earth, materials, forces and electricity, biological systems and technologies.

Glasgow Science Centre Outreach
The Glasgow Science Centre outreach programme offers an array of exciting workshops, live science shows, interactive exhibits and debates. Everything is hands-on and designed to fit the needs of learners. Workshops include: Journey through my body, Blood, bile and body bits, and Game on - the science of sport.

Shell Workshops
All the workshops support 'Skills in Science - Investigating' in the National Guidelines. Topics covered include electricity, splash and flight.

The Royal Observatory Outreach
The Royal Observatory has a range of activities to bring to your school. Most of the activities are directly linked to the 5-14 Earth in Space curriculum guidelines; the others offer stimulating experiences and opportunities to test your skills.

Cool Creatures
Cool Creatures specialise in basic animal handling, as well as lots of other school topics that fit into the curriculum. Topics include: Mini-beasts, Senses, Food Chains and Endangered Animals.

Curriculum based workshops for children. Hands on workshops featuring a variety of animals including snakes, tarantulas, lizards, scorpions and frogs. Zoolab has a network of fully qualified professional rangers.
