Barclay is a retired secondary school science teacher. He has been instrumental in the development of the Scottish science curriculum over a number of years.
A focus of his career has been to encourage youngsters to consider opportunities in science, technology, engineering and maths. Children’s natural wonder at the world around them is a great starting point for developing the skills and knowledge needed in the 21st century.
