Kathy has been involved in Primary Education since 1994 both as a classroom practitioner and Primary Science Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2004, she was awarded a Primary Science Teacher Award by the Primary Science Teaching Trust and became a PSTT Fellow. This was followed by becoming the inaugural College Director for the Trust in 2013. Since stepping down as College Director in 2016, she has worked part-time as a Regional Mentor for Northern Ireland and more recently in North Wales supporting the vision of PSTT and delivering CPD to teachers in schools. Kathy has a passion and enthusiasm for primary science which knows no bounds; she firmly believes practical investigative science is a must for all young children.
