Michele is currently the North West Area Mentor for the Primary Science Teaching Trust.

She is currently working with schools in East Lancashire supporting them with curriculum development and science subject enrichment.

Michele taught for 20 years in a primary school in Nelson, Lancashire. During this time, she won an Astra Zeneca Primary Science Teaching Award. She also worked for the local authority as an EAL specialist teacher focusing on how science can develop language acquisition.

She has produced teaching resources and written articles for several primary science publications on a range of subjects. Michele is passionate about ensuring the science curriculum reflects the diversity of all pupils.

Michele recognises the importance of children and adults reconnecting with the wonders of nature and the benefits this can bring. Her expertise in this field has led to opportunities to work alongside organisations such as the National Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust supporting them with their teacher and pupil resources and activities.
